Young Inspectors
Our team of young inspectors are young people from Reading who visit a range of services for young people, carry out an inspection, and tell the managers of those services about what they are doing well, and what they could do to improve things for young people. They do this by looking at the building and equipment, talking to staff, and most importantly, talking to young people.
The Young Inspectors visit a wide range of places, including youth-centres, health-services and services for young people with disabilities.
Once they have given their report to the manager of that service, the young-inspectors expect a response from that manager, within one month, to tell you what they will do as a result of the recommendations of the visit.
All this is made public - this means you can follow the links on the right of this page to see what the young-inspectors thought, and what will be done as a result.
