Young Commissioners

The young-commissioners are a group of young people who work with staff at the council in Reading.  They make sure that the council is listening to the voice of young people, when it decides to spend money to make a difference on the lives of young people in Reading.

The group meets every two weeks, on a Monday, at the Civic Centre in Reading.  They meet lots of different people, and do things like interviewing organisations who are bidding for some money, running discussion groups with other young people, and visiting organisations to check that they are doing what they should be doing.

We are currently looking for new young people to join our group of young people.  As long as you are aged 13-19, happy to voice your opinion and to work as part of a group, you can be a young-commissioner!  You can see the full flyer by clicking the downlown on the right of this page.  This is what our current Young Commissioners say about the project:
