SOURCE are a team of Young People's Drug and Alcohol workers.  They work with young people, parents/carers who are affected by drug or alcohol use.

 

Who do we see?

 

Anyone under 18 years old (or up to 25 years old if they have special needs).  You don't have to have a drug problem.  You may be experimenting, or just want information and advice.  You don't have to want to stop using drugs to come and see us.

 

What we offer?

 

Information on the effects of drugs and alcohol

1-2-1 sessions

Support to reduce your alcohol or drug use

Support to help you stop using

Support on reducing the risks from drugs taking

Assessment for treatment

Referral to other services, e.g. housing, employment services, benefit agencies etc

 

Why contact us?

 

You are worried about drugs and alcohol affecting your health

You are thinking about or have decided to stop using drugs and alcohol and would like support

Your drug or alcohol use has led to a problem with family, friends, school or work

You are beginning to get involved in crime as a result of drug or alcohol use

Or for any other reason

 

How do I get to see someone?

 

You can call or e-mail and speak to one of us

If you don't want to, your parents/carers, youth workers, teachers or someone else you trust can do it on your behalf

 

Will you tell people what we talk about?

 

We will encourage you to talk to your family or family support workers so they can support you. 

If you decide this isn't something you want to do, in order to keep you safe, only information shared about risk of harm to yourself or others, will be shared with a team leader.  Other information will be kept confidential.

 

Does it cost me anything?

 

No the service is free!
