South Reading Youth Centre is open 3 nights a week
and runs various different projects and activities. Here you
will find;
- Drop in sessions
These sessions are open for you to drop in and get help with
your accreditation or have a chat with your youth
workers.
- Gifted Prolific
These sessions are for young people who are NEET (Not in
education, employment or training) to gain skills and an OCN
qualification.
- Open Access Senior Club
Where you can take part in projects, activities, games and
informal ed stuff like learning about drugs & alcohol, healthy
eating or a new skill.
- Me Time
A project for young mums and mums to
be where you will have the chance to have some time with
other young women, and take part in activities
incuding dance, drama,
art, sports,
yoga and many more.
- Open Access Junior Club
A project for 11 - 13 year olds where you can start to get a
taste of what youth work is about. Here you can take part in
pool, football,
cooking, arts and craft,
music etc
- LOL Culture Project
- Music Project
For anyone to come and learn new skills in music and music
production.
- The Zone - Reading Girls School
Students at Reading Girls School can benefit from The Zone drop
in where you can get advice and info on most things regarding
alcohol, drugs, relationships, sexual health and bullying.
You will find the South Reading Youth Team at South Reading
Youth Centre too.

around Whitley.
As with all our clubs, South Reading Youth
Club provides support and help in finding out
about getting help for things such as drugs and
alcohol, sex and relationships, housing etc. We also operate
the C card scheme and condoms are available at the
club.
